Sadly, around the world the number of cats and dogs that are left alone in the streets is quite high.
In Romania alone it is estimated that there are 1 to 1.5 homeless dogs, and given the cold winters Romania is not an easy place for a dog to survive in the streets.
The rescue organization, Howl of a Dog, found a dog named Zuzi in a parking lot, where she was eating scraps and was barely surviving day by day.
Zuzi was able to find a loving forever home, thanks to Howl of a Dog, she had to travel 5.000 miles from Rumania to Canada, because after reading the sad story of her a Canadian couple volunteered to adopt her.
The dog now is a citizen of Canada, and lived with her human parents Maddy and Michael, her life is perfect for a dog now, and she spends her days walking in the parks, lying on the couch and even has fun rides in their boat.
We hope more people will decide to help dog’s like Zuzi and give them the life they deserve.
