For a shelter dog named Bella life was pretty rough to her.
The poor animal lived the majority of her life in a Romanian city pound, in a concrete kennel. She had very little contact with humans, and rarely went outside.
The dog had issued with her spleen and liver that were untreated, and also had fleas.
Life could have stayed rough to the dog, and she might have spent her whole life in these terrible conditions, but thank god Howl of the Dog rescuers got to save her at the right time.
While one of the staff members was visiting the pound she noticed Bella, when the woman gave her hand to the dog, she licked it and the rescuers saw the animal was friendly and only needed a bit of love.
Howl of the Dog rescuers saved Bella that day, they let her rest in their shelter till vet appointment time came.
“She seemed to have instantly understood that she was being rescued and that she’s safe,” Howl of a Dog said.
The dog showed she enjoyed human’s company since the first day she came in shelter, going next to her rescuer in the couch, and falling asleep in her lap.
“She was so trusting and relieved to be finally rescued that she simply fell asleep in my arms while we were heading to the veterinary clinic,” Howl of a Dog wrote on Facebook.
The medical checkup of Bella went great, the vet prescribed the dog supplements for her spleen and liver, and the dog also went under a medicated bath to get rid of the fleas and have her itching reduced.
When the appointment is over, Bella and her rescuers got back to the shelter and the dog settled in immediately, the dog that was underweight eat plenty of food and then played with other dogs in the shelter.
Since Bella was rescued she made a great progress and transformed from a scared dog, into a content and happy one.
“Bella is doing fine now, receiving all the care she needs to regain her health and joy,” Howl of the Dog said. “Once she’s completely recovered she will be up for adoption.”
Bella’s life was quite difficult in the beginning but thanks to this kind hearted people, now she is having the happy life she deserves.
